Norwegian second-tier club Kongsviger IL have secured the services of Ghanaian youngster Eric Taylor for the remainder of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can report
Taylor comes from playing for top-flight side Lillestrøm, where he got himself contract in February after impressing both during a one-month trial and in a tournament which had over 150 players participating.
The competition was very tough in central midfield at Lillestrøm which contributed to Taylor getting limited minutes of play.
The club recently strengthened the midfield with a new signing.
The 21-year-old midfielder on loan in Lillestrøm from the Ghanaian side New Life Academy.
Kongsviger take over the loan for the rest of the season and has at the same time secured an option to buy after the season in November this year.
This week he greeted his new teammates at Kongsvinger.
“I am a young player and need playing time. I think this is a perfect place to be.” Taylor said after completing the move.
“We have taken over the loan agreement from Lillestrøm and at the same time have taken over and secured an option to buy that LSK has had, so we manage ourselves whether we want to buy him after the season or not,” Kongsviger sports manager Espen Nystuen said.
“Eric is a quick, technical and fine midfielder. With two men out on loan, it is a great opportunity for us to test whether Eric can be something for us also with a view to next season.”
