Northern Ladies lead League table in Northern Zone

Tamale based Northern Ladies top of the table in the Northern Zone of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League after bagging 18 points from 8 League matches in the first round. Northern Ladies won six and lost two in the Zone with one game in hand against defending Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The Champions are in second place with 15 points having played only five games due to their participation in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Cote D’Ivoire and the recent fire outbreak at the team’s hostel facility at Techiman. Ampem Darkoa Ladies are unbeaten in five League games and aim to challenge Northern Ladies for the top spot when they return to action.

Supreme Ladies are in third place with 14 points, while, Ashtown Ladies lie in 4th place with a game in hand. The bottom three clubs are Fosu Royal Ladies, PearlPia Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy.
