Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has been appointed head coach of Eleven Wonders and will lead his first training session today, Saturday, as preparations begin for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Lamptey, who has previously coached Elmina Sharks and served in various roles within Ghana football, now takes charge of a side undergoing major changes.
Eleven Wonders, recently acquired by Legon Cities FC owner Richard Atippoe, will retain their name but operate from Accra after Atippoe secured the Techiman-based club’s Premier League slot following Legon Cities’ relegation.
His immediate challenge is to assemble a competitive squad capable of avoiding last season’s struggles and making an impact in the topflight.
The former Aston Villa and Anderlecht midfielder is eager to instill his football philosophy as training gets underway.
