Nigeria secured a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) last 16 with a thrilling 3-2 win over Tunisia.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 44th minute, heading in Ademola Lookman’s cross.
The Super Eagles extended their lead in the 50th minute through captain Wilfred Ndidi’s header, and Lookman added a third in the 67th minute, finishing off a fine team move.
Tunisia mounted a late comeback, with Montassar Talbi scoring in the 74th minute and Ali Abdi converting a penalty in the 87th minute.
However, Nigeria held on to secure their place in the knockout stages, topping Group C with six points.
This victory marks Nigeria’s 16th appearance in the AFCON knockout stages. They will face Uganda in their final group match on Tuesday.
