Gambian referee Ngum Fatou has been appointed to officiate the decisive second-leg encounter between South Africa and Ghana in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Fatou will be supported by an all-Gambian officiating team, with Abbie Ceesay serving as Assistant Referee I and Jainaba Manneh as Assistant Referee II, while Isatou Touray takes up duties as the fourth official. Off the pitch, Eswatini’s Cindy Barbara Dludlu has been named Match Commissioner, with Uganda’s Constance Catherine Wejuli Adipo appointed as Referee Assessor.
The crucial fixture is scheduled to take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, with kick-off set for 15:00 hours on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The tie is delicately poised following a 2–2 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 8, where Ghana relinquished a two-goal advantage to leave the contest evenly balanced heading into the return leg.
With qualification on the line, both teams will be aiming for a decisive victory, as the aggregate winner will secure a coveted place at the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
