England winless streak in the UEFA Nations League continued on Saturday after fighting to a goalless draw against Italy in Wolves.
The result leaves the Gareth Southgate side placed bottom of their group after failing to win their first three games.
On a day that saw ten games played, Germany was the other nation to be shocked following their 1-1 draw against Hungary with the latter keeping alive their chances of making the Nations League finals next year. The home side took the lead through Zsolt Nagy just after six minutes but the Hansi Flick’s visitors equalized through Jonas Hofmann three minutes later.
England have gone three consecutive games without a win for the first time since September 2018.

The home side would level things up with a three-minute double salvo. Davy Klassen netted the first and Denzel Dumfries continued the theme of full-backs scoring by completing the comeback seconds later.
Wales put in another mature performance as they secured a valuable point against Belgium at the Cardiff City stadium.
