Nashville SC have secured the services of Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi in a deal valued at $1.5 million, marking one of the club’s notable defensive investments in recent seasons.
The move brings an end to his stint with Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK, where the 24-year-old emerged as a dependable and influential presence at the back.
Woledzi made 88 appearances for the club across multiple competitions, including Europa League and Conference League qualifiers.
His performances earned him a place in the league’s Team of the Year, a Norwegian Cup triumph, and the prestigious honour of being named Fredrikstad’s Player of the Year in 2025.
The $1.5m price tag highlights Nashville’s confidence in his ability to elevate their defensive structure as the MLS side looks ahead to future campaigns.
Woledzi’s contract runs through 2028, with an option extending to 2029, signalling a long-term commitment from both parties.
The transfer marks a major step forward in his career as he transitions into Major League Soccer.
