Danish-Ghanaian midfielder Nikolas Nartey emerged as the decisive figure for VfB Stuttgart after scoring a dramatic late winner in their 3–2 Bundesliga success over Eintracht Frankfurt at the MHPArena.
Introduced from the bench, the 25-year-old showed composure and timing to strike in the 87th minute and swing the contest in Stuttgart’s favour.
Frankfurt had taken an early lead through Rasmus Kristensen’s header, putting the hosts under pressure in the opening stages.
Stuttgart responded well and overturned the deficit before the break, with Ermedin Demirovic and Deniz Undav finding the net to hand their side control at half-time.
The visitors refused to fold and drew level late on when Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab struck in the 80th minute, threatening to snatch a point.
However, Stuttgart’s persistence paid off as Nartey arrived inside the box to meet Josha Vagnoman’s low delivery and calmly finished.
The goal underlined Nartey’s growing influence this season, having now featured 15 times in the Bundesliga during the 2025/26 campaign.
