Head coach of Ghana’s U-17 national team, Dr. Prosper Narteh-Ogum, will commence a player screening exercise on Monday as part of efforts to strengthen the Black Starlets ahead of the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The exercise, which takes place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, will feature selected young talents who will undergo training sessions and friendly games over a one-week period.
The top performers will be retained for further assessment before the final squad is named for the tournament.
This marks Ghana’s return to the continental stage after an eight-year absence, following their impressive second-place finish at the WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship in Côte d’Ivoire.
The next U-17 AFCON will be staged in Morocco in April 2025.
