Renowned Ghanaian football administrator Nana Yaw Amponsah has parted ways with Petrocub Hîncești – reigning Moldovan champions.
Amponsah, who led the club as president, played a pivotal role in their historic Moldovan Premier League title win and Moldovan Cup triumph in the recent season.
However, a reported disagreement over the club’s direction led to a termination of his contract by the Petrocub Hîncești board of directors.
Amponsah’s tenure, which began earlier this year, was marked by significant success, but ultimately ended in a surprise split.
Before joining Petrocub Hîncești, Amponsah worked with Asante Kotoko, helping the team win the Ghana Premier League title.
