My ultimate goal is to represent Ghana at the World Cup – Jojo Wollacott

Jojo Wollacott, Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper, says his ultimate goal is to represent the Black Stars in the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar.

The 2022 World Cup will be held from 20 November to 18 December 2022.

According to him, the idea of facing Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2022 FIFA World Cup is significant because Portugal has talented players.

“Yeh Yeh, it;s obviously a big team, big country, big players. I am sure we will wipe up up our preparations for the games. The magnitude of Ronaldo is the face of football ever known and recognised so the opportunity to play against them will be fantastic,” he told Oyerepa FM.

“The most important thing is to represent Ghana at the World Cup, that’s the ultimate goal and that’s a dream come true for me so we hope that when we get there we can be successful as possible,”

In October 2021, Wollacott received his first call-up to the Ghana national team for 2022 World Cup qualification game against Zimbabwe.

He debuted for Ghana in a 3–1 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification win over Zimbabwe on 9 October 2021.
