Hearts of Oak trainer Ouattara Abubakar says his target for the club is not to win Ghana Premier League title but to improve the performance of the playing-body.
The Ivorian trainer joined the Phobians before the start of the second round of the campaign and has made an instant impact at the club, winning three and drawing two after five games.
Their recent win was a 2-1 comeback victory over Hearts of Lions.
“I have no magic, all I have is hard work and strategy. In our past games, we have consistently looked for opportunities to capitalize on the mistakes made by our opponents.
“We are taking things one step at a time, match by match, and am not focused on winning the league. Instead, we are trying to get the guys to play well but I can never guarantee the supporters the league title,” Abubakar said in an interview on Akoma FM.
Hearts of Oak have now surpassed rivals Asante Kotoko on Ghana Premier League table, sitting seventh after week 22.
