Defender Samuel Inkoom has confirmed his departure from Ghana Premier League heavyweight Accra Hearts of Oak.
The veteran right-back ended his one-and-a-half season marriage with the Accra-based club this year.
Inkoom was regular member of the team who won the FA Cup in 2022 before adding the President Cup to his laurels in 2023.
“My contract has ended with hearts. I want to say thank you to the board chairman, members of the board and fans,” Inkoom told JoySports.
“I sent the board chairman a message that I cannot continue with the club. I want to give the young players the chance to continue,” he stated.
The former FC Basel defender was part of Ghana’s U20 team that won the 2009 FIFA World Cup.
He also played for the Black Stars at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
