Antoine Semenyo is ready to make his mark at Manchester City after completing a high-profile move from AFC Bournemouth.
The 26-year-old forward has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Etihad Stadium outfit, keeping him at the club until 2031.
“My best football is yet to come, I am sure of that. And City are in a great position, still involved in four competitions.
“I really feel I can help them have a strong second half of the season,” Semenyo said, expressing his excitement for the challenge ahead.
“The Etihad is my new home. I can’t wait to play in front of the fans here and I hope to show everyone what I can do.”
City have reportedly paid £62.5m plus £1.5m to Bournemouth, who will also receive 10% of any profit from a future sale. Semenyo, the first Ghanaian to sign for Manchester City, has already impressed this season with 10 goals and three assists in the Premier League.
The forward chose Pep Guardiola’s side despite interest from other top clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool, highlighting the appeal of City’s project.
