Muntari has been a bit part player at the World Cup and was nearly sent him after challenging Milovan Rajevac on his selections.
He is now due to make his first start at this tournament and says Ghana can rely on him to do a good job.
“I have always been here and always given off my best. It is up to manager to decide who plays but if he picks me then I will give off my best,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
“It is without question the biggest game ever for Ghana. We have a chance to make history and go into a stage no African country has been before.”
Muntari reckons the key to a victory for Ghana will be to continue to play well but above all keep the deadly Uruguay duo of Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez who have scored five goals between them in check.
