It is the end of the road for Ghana Premier League champions Medeama Sporting Club in the MTN FA Cup following a defeat in the Round of 32.
The Ghanaian top-flight league champions today locked horns with the lower-tier club to fight for a win to progress to the last 16 stage.
Despite going into the game as favourites, Medeama Sporting Club struggled to break down the defense of the opponent and could not score a single goal.
Thanks for a solitary strike by Skyy FC in the first half, the team cruised to a hard-fought 1-0 victory at the end of the 90 minutes.
The result means Medeama SC are out of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition while Skyy FC are through to the Round 16 stage.
In the big game played in the MTN FA Cup today, Asante Kotoko defeated Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0 to also reach the Round 16 stage.
