Ghana’s youth football landscape is about to witness a new chapter as the first-ever MTN Elite U-19 Championship gets underway at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday, October 24, 2025.

The 11-day tournament, which concludes on Sunday, November 2, will bring together ten Regional Football Association (RFA) teams, each featuring some of the most exciting young talents across the country.

Participating teams are scheduled to arrive at the Technical Centre on Thursday, October 23, ahead of the official opening ceremony.

Backed by MTN Ghana, this competition forms part of the Ghana Football Association’s “Power to the Youth” initiative, designed to create clear pathways for emerging players to transition from grassroots football to the professional stage.

The championship serves as a platform for identifying and nurturing future national stars.

With the combined efforts of the GFA, MTN Ghana, and technical staff, the Elite U-19 Championship is expected to become a cornerstone of Ghana’s long-term football development strategy.
