MTN Cup Final: Golden Kick CEO eyes Kotoko upset in Sunday’s showdown

Golden Kick CEO Joseph Epton is confident his side can beat giants Asante Kotoko in the upcoming MTN FA Cup final.

Golden Kick, who are a Division One side, have stunned the competition with a giant-killing run to the final.

They eliminated Accra Hearts of Oak, Karela United, and fellow Division One side Attram Di Visser, who had earlier knocked out league champions Bibiani GoldStars.

The run has given them confidence of securing victory over Asante Kotoko.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Epton said, “They [Kotoko] are going to be a tough opponent but for the 90 minutes, we will beat them.”

“We respect them but in the end, we are confident that we can win the match,” Epton added.

“In life, you have to learn to start walking before you start running. Golden Kick will also do that,” he said.

The final will be played on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
