Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu faced another setback in his career as he suffered a hamstring discomfort during Monaco’s training session, adding to his injury woes since last season.
As a result of this setback, the 24-year-old missed Monaco’s crucial French Ligue 1 home match against Paris Saint-Germain on Friday night. His absence was conspicuous as he was not included in the squad list released for the fixture.
This injury comes at a challenging time for Monaco, who are already grappling with several absences. Adi Hütter’s side had to navigate the match against PSG without the services of Mohammed Salisu.
The injury occurred during Friday morning’s training session, further sidelining the Ghanaian defender.
Despite the setback, Hütter crafted an offensive-minded starting lineup, featuring three playmakers alongside two attackers.
Mohammed Salisu, who made his debut for Monaco just before the AFCON, has made eight league appearances for the club so far. He showcased his contribution with an assist in the previous weekend’s match.
