Mohammed Salisu was in top form as Southampton stunned Manchester City on Wednesday night to move into the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
The Ghanaian centre-Back lasted the entire duration at St Mary’s Stadium and put up a dominant defensive performance that kept the star-studded City attack at bay.
Salisu had 47 touches, completed 27 passes and made five clearances. He was 100% in defending aerial ball, winning four out of four, before recovering the ball three times.
Sekou Mara and Moussa Djenepo were on target as the hosts knocked out the English champions.
