Mohammed Salisu had no influence on my decision to join Southampton- Kamaldeen Sulemana

Kamaldeen Sulemana insists Ghana teammate Mohammed Salisu had no influence on his decision to join Southampton in the January transfer window.

The 20 year old was a subject of interest of Premier League rivals Everton, who had also reached an agreement in principle with Stade Rennes, but he ultimately chose to sign for the Saints.

He penned a four and half year contract for €25m plus €3m in bonuses.

Kamaldeen now shares the dressing room with Salisu at the St.Mary’s Stadium.

“Before coming, obviously in the national team we talk about the English Premier League, we talk about everything but before coming here, he had nothing to do with the decision, I just made my decision and then when I got here he showed me around. He is a good guy and he is helping me out here”
