Mohammed Polo believes Hearts of Oak will “show their class” and live up to “expectation” despite having a losing start to the season.
The Phobians fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Match Day one.
The 2021 Ghana Premier League champions are now winless in their previous six matches in the domestic league including results from last season – as they finished sixth, losing title to rivals Asante Kotoko.
However, their legend Polo remains positive Samuel Boadu’s side will return to winning ways and opined in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.
“I think it’s a lesson learnt. It’s a learning process. What happened to Hearts of Oak last year, they have learnt it and am sure this time it’s not going to happen. They are going to develop and show their class…and I hope they will live up to expectation.” Said the 65-year-old.
Hearts of Oak face regional rivals Great Olympics in a ‘Ga Manste’ derby this Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
