Mohammed Kudus will wear the number 20 shirt at Tottenham Hotspur, the club has confirmed following his official unveiling on Thursday.
The Ghanaian international continues his tradition with the number, having previously worn No. 20 during his time at Ajax and with the national team, Black Stars.
Kudus was officially announced as a Tottenham player after completing a £55 million (€64.5 million) move from West Ham.
The 24-year-old signed a six-year contract, making him Spurs’ headline signing of the summer and the most expensive Ghanaian footballer in history.
By taking the number 20 shirt, Kudus follows in the footsteps of several notable Tottenham players, including Dele Alli, who wore it during his influential spell at the club.
Kudus, who registered five goals and four assists in 35 Premier League games last season, is expected to play a key role under manager Thomas Frank.
His versatility in attack—capable of playing as a winger, central midfielder, or forward—adds depth and dynamism to Spurs’ front line.
Tottenham fans will get their first look at Kudus in the No. 20 shirt during the club’s pre-season fixtures, with excitement building over what the Ghanaian star can deliver in north London.
