West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus clinched the prestigious Sports Personality of the Year 2023 title at the 48th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards held at the Accra International Conference Center.
The dynamic attacking midfielder’s stellar performance over the past two years, including a move from Ajax Amsterdam to the Premier League, earned him this accolade.
Kudus notably shone as Ghana’s standout player in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, contributing two goals and an assist in three matches.
His pivotal role in securing Ghana’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast further solidified his status.
Additionally, Kudus secured the Footballer of the Year (Foreign) honor, marking his second consecutive win of this prestigious award.
