Mohammed Kudus scored for Jong Ajax in their 6-1 victory over VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on Monday evening.

Since regaining full fitness after recovering from a long-term injury, the talented midfielder has joined Ajax’s junior team to help him hit top gear.

He started against VVV Venlo. In a game where much was expected of him, the Black Stars sensation impressed, opening the scoring which inspired Jong Ajax to run riot.

This comes after the Ghana midfielder registered an important assist as Ajax’s first team beat NEC Nijmegen to stay top of Dutch Eredivisie.

Kudus has made 12 appearances and scored contributed two goals for the first team.

Kudus, on the other hand, has five goals in five matches for the Jong Ajax, including a hat-trick.

The 21-year-old has struggled for playing time since returning from a hip injury that kept him out of the first round of the season.

Kudus hopes that his situation improves before the season ends and that he becomes a regular next season.

He joined Ajax from Nordsjaelland before the start of the previous season. Kudus has already won two trophies, and he will be able to add a third as Ajax hold a four-point lead with four games remaining in Dutch top-flight.
