Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus is elated to have won Man of the Match award in Ajax win against Rangers in a UEFA Champions League game.
The Dutch giants thrashed Rangers 3-1 on Tuesday evening in Scotland despite saying goodbye to the competition.
Kudus on the fourth minute, assisted Berghuis with the first goal and later found the back of the net in the 29th minute to give the away team a 2-0 lead.
Rangers pulled one back in the 87th minute as James Tavernier scored from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit.
Ajax added their third goal in the encounter through Portuguese youngster Francisco Conceição
“I am very happy and most importantly we got the win, so big credit to all the team. The goal happened so fast but I just moved the ball and struck it with my right foot. Yeah it deflected but as a striker that’s what I need.”
Kudus played six games, scored four goals, and assisted twice in the Uefa Champions league this season.
