Mohammed Kudus dedicates ‘superb free-kick goal’ to Christian Atsu

Ghanaian attacker, Mohammad Kudus scored a stunning free-kick in Ajax 4-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam and dedicated it to compatriot, Christian Atsu.

Atsu was confirmed dead on Saturday morning by his agent, Nana Sekyere and club, Hatayspor following a devastating earthquake in Turkey two weeks ago.

The 31-year-old, who was among over 40,000 victims across southern Turkey and northern Syria, was under the rubble for about 12 days.

It was Kudus’ first career free-kick and ninth goal for Ajax in the Eredivisie this season.

Atsu’s remains is expected to arrive in Ghana on Sunday night for burial.
