Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini is thrilled and raring to go as Union Saint-Gilloise prepares for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
The team secured a spot in the elite competition after winning the Belgian league title for the first time in 90 years.
Fuseini, who has previously played in Champions League qualifiers, expressed his excitement whilst talking to 3Sports, saying:
“This is like one of my dreams to come true… me getting to play in the real Champions League, that means a lot to me.”
Fuseini is looking forward to facing top European teams, stating, “I’m looking forward to playing against big teams like Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, and other big clubs. It will be a great experience for me.”
He’s upbeat about his team’s chances, citing their good squad and coach: “I think we should be able to get through because we have a good squad and then a good coach. I think everything is possible.”
The 22-year-old Ghanaian international had a standout season with Union Saint-Gilloise, scoring 11 goals and providing 3 assists in 44 appearances.
He’s eager to make a lasting impression in his maiden Champions League campaign.
