Mohammed Aminu, a former Ghanaian football prospect, reflects on his journey from rising star to facing setbacks that hindered his career.
Aminu’s talent earned him a move to Manchester City in 2017, but adapting to life at the Premier League giants proved challenging.
“It was very tough. Man City is a big club. I moved there very young, when I didn’t know much. I learned a lot, but I also had some bad luck,” Aminu said.
Injuries and difficult transitions derailed his career abroad. Despite this, Aminu remains determined to succeed, stating, “Yeah, all my dream was to be a professional footballer, and that’s where I started from… It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve always wanted to play at the top level. I’m still working, still grinding, and Insha Allah, one day I’ll get there.”
Now back in Ghana, Aminu is working to reignite his career.
“Now I’m back in Ghana. It’s not easy, but we keep going,” he added.
