Former Kotoko goalkeeper, Mohammed Alhassan, has expressed skepticism about Asante Kotoko’s chances of clinching the Ghana Premier League title this season.
Despite a slow start to the 2023/24 campaign with no wins in their first three games, the Porcupine Warriors have recently secured two victories over Accra Lions (1-0) and Aduana Stars (1-0), thanks to stellar performances from Kalo Ouattara and Richmond Lamptey.
However, Alhassan believes that Kotoko faces stiff competition from other teams like Dreams FC, Medeama, and Aduana Stars, who possess more experienced players and longer-standing team members.
He stated, “Truth be told, Kotoko can finish in the top four teams, but winning the league will be difficult for them.”
Asante Kotoko is currently preparing to face Nations FC in match week six of the Ghana Premier League.
