Mohammed Kudus has set his sights on international duty with Ghana following Tottenham Hotspur’s narrow 1-0 home defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The forward, who recently made the switch from West Ham to Spurs, featured throughout the contest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but was unable to prevent the Cherries from leaving North London with all three points.
Attention now turns to the Black Stars as the 23-year-old links up with his national teammates for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali during the international break.
“I think playing for your country is also a massive part of us being players, representing your nation. So it’s very, very important to me,” Kudus said after Saturday’s fixture.
“I think after the loss today, it’s good to get our way to refresh our mind and then come back fresh again,” he added.
Ghana will be on the road first, facing Chad in N’Djamena on September 4 before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
The Black Stars currently sit top of Group I with 15 points.
