Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has voiced his dissatisfaction despite his side’s emphatic 4-1 win over Legon Cities in their Ghana Premier League matchday 31 clash on Monday.
The commanding victory saw the Abrankese-based outfit reclaim top spot in the league standings with just three games remaining.
A brace from Kelvin Ampoful, along with goals from Emmanuel Annor and Sadiq Alhassan, sealed the result, which also confirmed Legon Cities’ relegation to the Division One League.
However, Mingle, known for his high standards, was not entirely pleased with the performance, particularly in the first half, where he felt his team squandered several clear chances.
“Our performance was not bad but not to my satisfaction,” he said post-match. “In the first half, we wasted a lot of chances. I don’t blame them—they always want to score quickly so we can take the lead, but that eagerness leads to missed opportunities.”
Despite the dominant display and the high-scoring result, Mingle’s comments underscore his desire for clinical efficiency as Nations FC push for a historic league title.
With 57 points from 31 games, Nations FC lead the table, while Legon Cities languish in 17th with just 25 points—now officially relegated with three games left to play.
