Righteous Adu of Franco International School says his ambition goes far beyond the honours he picked up at the 2025 Milo U13 Champions League.
The talented youngster delivered a standout tournament, earning the Best Player award and finishing as joint top scorer with six goals, sharing the accolade with St. Francis Roman Catholic School’s Enoch Baahaski.
Despite his team falling short against the eventual champions, the captain’s performances drew widespread praise throughout the competition.
Many of his side’s brightest moments in the final came through his creativity and leadership on the pitch.
Speaking to Luv FM, the confident teenager made his long-term vision clear.
“I am happy to win these awards but this is too small for me. I want to train hard and become the best player in the world. I want to win more Ballon d’Ors than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” he declared.
This year’s tournament marked the return of the Milo U13 Champions League after a six-year break, assembling over 100,000 schoolchildren from 16 schools under the theme “Raising Champions Together.”
Adu’s emergence was one of the biggest talking points of the event, and his early promise has sparked excitement about his potential.
