The Serbian was banned for one match at the tournament in the Ivory Coast which consigned him to the stands in the final Group A clash against DR Congo.
The ban rather proved to be a blessing as with the help of the mobile phone he communicated with assistant Kwasi Appiah on tactics while the game was in progress.
Even though he was cleared to return to the bench in the clash against Senegal in the semi finals on Wednesday, the manager opted to stay in the stands to direct affairs with maximum effect.

Rajevac is uncertain whether he will return to the bench in Sunday’s final but he is sure that his role in the stands has been overly effective.
