Former Ghana international Michael Essien has wished Kwadwo Asamoah well following his retirement from football.
The two played together in the Black Stars team and were teammates at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
Asamoah enjoyed an illustrious career in Serie A, where he played for Udinese, Juventus, Inter Milan and Cagliari.
He won six Italian Serie A titles, four Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups during his successful time at with the Old Ladies.
Following the news of Asamoah’s retirement, Essien took to his official Twitter account to pay tribute to his former international teammate.
