Ex-Ghana international Michael Essien has named Jose Mourinho as the best manager he has played for in his career.
He featured for the Portuguese gaffer during his days at Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The duo were notably successful together in England, particularly during Mourinho’s first stint where the English side won Premier League trophies and the FA Cup among others.
Speaking on Goal.com Essien said:
“People know my connection with Jose Mourinho so yeah [he’s the best manager I have had].”
The former Black Stars midfielder currently serves as an assistant coach for Danish club FC Nordsjaelland
