Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has picked Arsenal star Thomas Partey for the Player of the Season accolade.
The former player comments comes after Partey’s impressive performance for the Gunners this season.
The 29-year-old was a big influence in the 3-2 hard fought victory against AFC Bournemouth, after scoring the first goal which instigated the comeback.
Mikel Arteta side are currently top of the table with five points ahead of Manchester City.
“For the player of the season award Arsenal’s Thomas Partey could have been in there, and Brentford striker Ivan Toney had a shout too,” he told BBC.
“Harry Kane keeps on scoring goals for Tottenham as well. Those three were very close.
Partey hopes to become the first Ghanaian to win the English Premier League title since 2016.
