The center back who is just a year into his four year deal at the French side says his agents has confirmed an approach to Lyon from Galatasaray and says he is keeping an open mind about it.
“I have always said footballers are like birds in flight, so you never know where you end up. If Lyon agree I should talk to them and the offer is good, you never know,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
But Mensah is keen to stress that his first option is to remain at Lyon who only finished third last season after winning eight straight titles.
“I don’t think Lyon have seen the best of me as a defender. I got injured too many times and that really affected me. So I want to stay at the club and repay them for all the patience they have had for me up to date.”
Mensah says he has put all his injuries behind him now and reckons he will have cracking season next term.
“I am now fully recovered and feel in great shape which was reflected in the two Fifa World Cup qualifying games I played for Ghana recently. I am now really looking forward to next season.”
