Medeama SC stun Asante Kotoko in Kumasi

Asante Kotoko have been stunned by Medeama SC after succumbing to a 2-0 defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A win would have seen the Porcupines move into the top four but it was rather the visitors who attained the spot following goals from Jonathan Sowah and former Hearts of Oak defender, Vincent Atinga.

Sowah headed home from a loose ball in the 18 yard box in the first 15 minutes.

With 13 minutes to go, Atinga dispatched a penalty as the Yellow and Mauve side took all three points.

Kotoko sink to seventh with 37 points and travel to face Legon Cities in Accra while Medeama welcome Gold Stars at the Akoon Park.
