Following their historic qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage with a remarkable victory over Guinean giants AC Horoya, Medeama SC’s coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, is emphasizing the need to strengthen his squad.
Despite a 2-1 loss in the second leg against Horoya in Conakry, the Yellow and Mauve secured their place in the group stage with a 4-3 aggregate win over the two legs.
In an interview, Coach Evans Adotey revealed his intention to bolster the team before the group stage kicks off.
He stated, “Definitely, I will have to inject a few players into certain positions, considering what went wrong and where I want to reinforce.”
Medeama SC finds themselves in pot 4 alongside Jwaneng Galaxy, ES Sahel, and FC Nouadhibou as they await the draw to determine their group opponents.
The draw is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 6, 2023.
