Medeama SC manager Evans Adotey has demanded victory in all costs when they host Algeria’s CR Belouizdad in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League on Friday.

The Ghanaians are desperate to bounce back from opening 3-0 loss away to Egyptian superpower Al Ahly in Group D last time out.

Ahead of entertaining undefeated Algerian champions Belouizdad in Kumasi on Friday, Adotey outlined his primary objective.

“It is my mission that Medeama will win tomorrow. I don’t really care about the scoreline, all that matters to me is my team wins,” insisted the coach.

Adotey has spent this week analysing footage of Belouizdad’s impressive 3-0 home win over Young Africans to identify “a lot” about their qualities and deficiencies.

Yet fixing Medeama’s struggle for goals shapes as his most pressing concern after drawing back-to-back blanks since lifting the Ghanaian league title.

With belief brewing they can shock more esteemed opponents in Kumasi, Adotey sent an unambiguous message.

“Even though I won’t make predictions, it is my mission that Medeama wins,” he repeated.

By toppling Algeria’s seasoned continental campaigners at the Baba Yara Stadium, the outright underdogs would dramatically reignite their Champions League ambitions.

Adotey only cares about the result, not the scoreline. But either way, an upset would profoundly bolster Medeama’s hopes of progressing from Group D.
