Medeama coaches Hayford and Abubakar acquire Caf Licence A badges

Coach Bashir Hayford and his assistant Yusif Abubakar were among 45 coaches who acquired their Caf licence A badge last Friday.

The experienced tacticians are now ranked among the elite of coaches with the requisite qualification to manage one of the rising football teams on the domestic scene.

They passed with distinction and would use their knowledge acquired to help transform the Mauves and Yellows this season.

Seasoned coaches drawn from  the various national teams, Premier and lower division sides took part in the two-week long seminar at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

The objective of the course was to evaluate and grant them the licence, allowing them in turn to impact meaningfully on their respective players.

It covered topics like modern trends in football; physical demands in the game; mental toughness in football and the art of match observation and reading of the game.

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has announced coaches without the licence B or its equivalent will not be allowed to manage football clubs on the continent.
