Nashville SC’s President of Soccer Operations and General Manager, Mike Jacobs, has expressed strong confidence in the impact Maxwell Woledzi will bring to the club.
The Ghanaian defender joined the MLS side in a deal worth $1.5 million from Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad FK.
His new contract runs until 2028, with an option for the 2029 season.
Woledzi was a key figure at Fredrikstad, making 88 appearances and achieving several milestones, including being named the club’s Player of the Year.
“Maxwell is a tremendous player and leader who will be a great addition to our club,” Jacobs said, highlighting their excitement about the transfer.
“We are excited to be able to add him to our group for the 2026 season.”
For Nashville SC, the acquisition represents both a long-term investment and a strategic move to strengthen their defensive unit.
