Ghana will play Zimbabwe in their opening Group B game of a two-week tournament restricted to footballers who play in their country of birth.
Bus loads of fans from the various Ghana supporter groups in Accra and Kumasi will arrive in Bouake on Sunday night to cheer the Black Stars.
Ghanaian communities in Abidjan, Yammosoukro and Bouake will boost the national team as they have confirmed their support for the Stars during the matches.
“We have organized Ghana here in Abidjan and our brothers in Yammosoukro and Bouake will also come for the matches,” Paul Ofori, a leader of the Ghanaian community in Abidjan told KickOffGhana.com.
“We have always supported any Ghanaian club that comes here to play, therefore it is automatic that the national team should enjoy our massive support.
“Ghanaians here in the Ivory Coast are keen on seeing their team in action, so we will be there in our numbers.”
The Black Stars will also play Libya and DR Congo in Group B
