Chelsea FC full-back Marcos Alonso has dropped a hint about his proposed move to FC Barcelona.
The Spaniard has strongly been linked with a return to Spain with reports rife that he wants to return and play home after winning almost everything during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Asked about a return to Spain, the left-back said: “I have a year on my contract. I’ve said various times I would like it but in the end, it’s not all up to me. It’s clear that the desire to play in Spain one day is there.”
Sergi Roberto’s new contract until June 2023 will be announced by Barcelona on Friday, as @gbsans said – and he will reduce his salary to stay at Barca. ?? #FCB

Apart from Alonso, Barca is said to be interested in signing Jose Gaya should Chelsea refuse to let go of the player.
Alonso made 46 appearances across all competitions, and he remains a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans but the club are willing to let him go if Barca can pay what they want.
