Manchester Utd manager Erik ten Hag expresses admiration for talented teenager Kobbie Mainoo

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has confessed his admiration for England teenager of Ghanaian descent, Kobbie Mainoo.

The Dutch tactician started the 18-year-old to give him his debut in the 2023/24 English Premier League season on Sunday when the Red Devils played away to Everton.

In a game where Kobbie Mainoo played 72 minutes, he was impressive and helped Manchester United to secure a massive 3-0 victory.

In a post-match interview, Erik ten Hag described the midfielder as a mature player despite his age, adding that he likes him.

“We have to develop players. Kids have to deserve it. It was painful for us when he got a bad injury in pre-season but now he’s back.

“He’s a good boy, very mature. He showed it today. I like him,” Erik ten Hag said.

After recovering from his injury and debuting in the English Premier League, Kobbie Mainoo is expected to play more games for Manchester United in the ongoing season.
