Manchester United scrap end-of-season awards

Following a dismal season, Manchester United is said to have canceled plans to throw an end-of-season awards ceremony.

Despite the fact that COVID-19 mandated a two-year break for the annual awards, the Red Devils have decided not to present one at the end of the 2021-22 season.

Following a dismal season in which Manchester United failed to qualify for the Champions League, the club’s annual Player of the Year celebration is apparently being canceled.

The players are reportedly too humiliated to hold the event, according to The Mirror.

United are on track to finish with their lowest points total in the Premier League history, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was dismissed before Ralf Rangnick took control on an interim basis.

After such a disappointing season, the players were hesitant to hold an end-of-season party, albeit United has conducted a survey for supporters to vote for their Player of the Year, with a new plan to deliver the trophy still to be determined.
