Ayyoub Bouaddi has pledged to give “100%” after completing his £85.6m move from Lille to Manchester City.
The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the reigning FA Cup champions, committing him to the club until 2031. Bouaddi spoke publicly for the first time since finalising the transfer and said he was excited to begin the next stage of his career in Manchester.
Bouaddi was born in France but represents Morocco internationally. He joined City after an impressive 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, during which Morocco reached the quarter-finals.
The teenager is regarded as an important part of Manchester City’s plans to rebuild their midfield. His arrival comes after the departure of Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders, while another midfielder, Nico Gonzalez, was close to leaving the club for Newcastle United at the time of writing.
