Manchester United are apparently sending scouts to study Wolverhampton Wanderers player Ruben Neves’ abilities.
The Premier League heavyweights, who just selected Erik ten Hag as their new manager for the coming season, will make a slew of summer additions.
With at least one new central midfielder on their shortlist, Neves has been linked with a move to Old Trafford on several occasions.
According to BirminghamLive, United sent a delegate to Saturday’s Premier League match between Wolves and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Neves was expected to miss the start due to a recent knee injury, but he played the opening 45 minutes before being replaced in a pre-planned replacement.
Given the half-time change and Wolves’ 3-0 loss to the Seagulls, the scouts in question would have learned nothing about the in-demand 25-year-old, who is also drawing interest from Barcelona.
