Man United exploring signing former Erik ten Hag protege Mohammed Kudus

Manchester United face a dilemma in their pursuit of a new forward, torn between Erik ten Hag’s former protege Mohammed Kudus and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha.

Kudus, who impressed after his move to West Ham United last summer, has caught the attention of the Red Devils.

Cunha, on the other hand, has been a revelation for Wolves since his fifteen million euro transfer from Atlético Madrid a year ago.

His impressive tally of twelve goals and seven assists in 32 matches has sparked considerable interest, with clubs reportedly needing to shell out seventy million euros to secure his services.

However, with Cunha tied down to Wolverhampton Wanderers until mid-2027, Manchester United faces a tough negotiation battle. This has led them to explore alternatives, with Kudus emerging as a potential candidate.

Having showcased his versatility as a right winger and attacking midfielder, Kudus had a successful debut season in the Premier League, tallying 8 goals and 6 assists in 33 matches.

His previous collaboration with Ten Hag at Ajax from 2020 to 2022 adds weight to the speculation surrounding his potential move.
